Inspiration.  Oscar Owl Hoot was written by my parents Tom and Betty and illustrated by Lou Schmitt and Pat Paris.  I found an original copy through Etsy last year!  I can’t locate the year it was published anywhere on the book itself, but it was part of Hallmark’s Stand Up Storybooks series.
